BEACHCOMBERThis card evokes a ramble along the seashore, with its shells, its texture and its colour.
What is needed:
Small Beauties Deep Blue Sea (CP51) combination pack
A4 pale orange mulberry paper
A4 deep russet orange card
Glue stick
Silicone glue
2 small shells
Scissors and craft knife
Small silver message
A. Creating the front panel
1) Cut out 2 large rows of the teabag/backing paper 10.4 by 20.8 cm ( the ones in the middle of the sheet). Using your craft knife, cut a rectangular window out of the middle of these rows approx. 3 cm by 13.5 cm.(See photo)
2) Score and fold your sheet of russet card in half to make a card, and then glue teabag paper with its window to the front panel, approx .6 cm from the left edge and equal distance at the top and bottom.
3)
Using
your craft knife, cut out a retangular window in the centre of the card
corresponding to window you just created from teabag paper, but leaving a
small border of russet orange.
4) Cut out 2 strips of your mulberry paper each of them 2.3 cm by 20.8 cm, and glue over the teabag paper, on either side of the window.
1)
Cut
out 2 strips of teabag paper, one of them the smaller paler blue squares at the
top of the page, and the other the same squares you cut out before.
2) Trim each of them on one edge so they are both approx 5.1 cm by 20.8 cm (See photo) Line the deep blue one with the window so that image you see through the window is the same as the one that you initially cut out when you cut your first teabag paper window and glue down equal distance from the top and the bottom. Glue the smaller paler blue squares to the right of this.
3) From the trimmings of the smaller pale blue teabags cut a strip 1 cm by 20.8 cm and glue to the left edge. (The pattern of this needs to be a mirroir image of the right edge)
4)
Cut
out 2 strips of mulberry paper one of them 4.4 cm by 20.8 cm and one of them
2.4 cm by 20.8 cm and glue the larger one next to the central pattern that will
be seen through the window, and the smaller one to the left side.
5) Cut out the centre of one of the teabag papers (the large ones at the bottom of the page) and glue with silicone glue to the centre orange square of the blue strip which you will see through the window.
6) Attach with silicone glue your 2 small shells to the orange squares above and below this central square.
C. Finishing off the card
1) Cut out your letters from Deep Blue Sea card stock and glue them along the left side of the inside panel, each letter next to one orange half square patterns. Finally add small silver message to the right hand corner.
2) Trim the right edge of the front panel so the whole panel is 11.2 cm wide, and trim the inside panel so that it is 12.2 cm wide from the fold.
